In 2013, we did a two-parter on the first six months of Marvel NOW! with NEED/Foremost CEO Matt Alexander back when he wasn't too famous and important to have time for us.

We cover Age of Ultron when it was fresh off the racks, and I name-check Secret Wars, saying we should do an episode on crossovers. It took two years and eight installments plus tie-ins, but we did it.

Something I realized while doing the re-edit on these (included as foundational, "bonus" tie-ins for said Giant Size Crossovers MaxiSeries) is that based on the beginning of Hickman's run on Avengers/New Avengers and my read of Age of Ultron, I laid out the basic plan for what Marvel would do over the following two years, building toward what John would later predict as an..."all-new" Secret Wars.
