The first new show on ESN since launch is also the first one not hosted by Moisés. It's also the first installment of what we're calling Limited Edition series: mini-shows that are finite and specialized around a very specific topic. Think of it as an ongoing retrospective series complimentary to the main Electric Shadow show.
The second selection in the Limited Edition series has already been chosen, could not possibly be more different than this one, and is probably un-guessable.
So, what exactly is Fire Talk With Me?
An in-depth, episode by episode look at the cult classic TV series Twin Peaks. Join co-hosts Jeremy Smith and Allie Goertz as he walks her through the twists and turns of David Lynch's serial drama for her first time in this ESN.fm Limited Edition series.
(Probably) Frequently-Asked Questions
Do I have to have seen Twin Peaks? Will I get spoiled?
Short answer: only if you listen to corresponding episodes of the podcast before you watch the episode of the show they pair with. Allison hasn't seen the show before, so you are just like her in this respect (but not exactly like her, that'd be weird)!
No, you won't be spoiled. The show is built as a "watch along with us" sort of thing. Think of this as your podcast equivalent of something like AMC's Talking Dead or Talking Bad, where you plug the post show in after you've seen the episode they're talking about, but with 100% less Chris Hardwick (a very nice and lovely man!).
The "zero" episode with Charles de Lauzirika includes a generous spoiler warningThe first "watch along" episode doesn't drop until the day the Blu-ray set is released (29 July 2014).
How Long Will the Show Run?
There are 30 episodes of Twin Peaks plus the 1 movie Fire Walk With Me. There will be some planned special diversions and maybe some really, really special guests.
The show is already a few episodes ahead, and special guests are planned and to be expected throughout its planned 36ish-episode run. Episode "zero" with special guest and Twin Peaks Blu-ray producer Charles de Lauzirika is now live.
The iTunes feed is still populating. Listen and review the show there when it pops through.
